After dropping out of college at 17 and working as a freelance kayaking instructor in the UK, Alistair never would have thought he would one day be founding a tech startup.
A decade ago, after various adventures and expeditions (such as kayaking the Zambezi and leading an expedition in the Peruvian Amazon) Alistair moved to India to work for Flying Fox, a zip line operator with 4 locations in India and two in Kenya.
After a few years he was promoted from Site Manager to Operations Director, where he was responsible for staff training, equipment management, maintenance and risk mitigation. It’s during this time that he had the idea for Risk Memo.
That was 5 years ago and since then Alistair has taught himself how to code, put together the Risk Memo team and partnered with a leading UK Type A inspection body, Capstone Inspections, all to bring Risk Memo to life.
